Ben Jonson

Ben Jonson is an English poet and playwright from the Renaissance period. He is primarily known for his comedies and masques which celebrated James I’s reign. Two of his plays, however, include scenes borrowed from the puppet theatre: Bartholomew Fair (1614) and A Tale of a Tub (1633).
