Giovanni Russo was a guarattellaro active in Naples in the first half of the 20th century. Together with Salvatore Pino, he also performed his shows for private individuals. On these occasions, he could present more elaborate pieces, different from the so-called "traditional" repertoire of the guarattelle, which was performed in the street.
