Born in Stade (Germany), Philip Stemann is an author, director and musician. Since 2014, he has worked closely with the Bremen figure theater Mensch, Puppe! for which he rewrites and adapts both children's books - Gerdt von Bassewitz's Peterchens Mondfahrt, Torben Kuhlmann's Armstrong - and great works of world literature, ranging from Bram Stoker's Dracula to Franz Kafka's The Trial and Hermann Hesse's Siddhartha.
