Author of novels, short stories, poetry and plays, Jean Cagnard has collaborated with various puppet companies. In 2005, he created the Compagnie 1057 Roses with Catherine Vasseur, actress and director. In 2018, he won the Grand Prix de Literature Dramatique for "Quand toute la ville est sur le trottoir d'en face" (éditions Espace 34). He is also a director and playwright.
