Manuel Molins is one of the most important Valencian playwrights and directors of the last fifty years. He is the founder of Grup 49, which has been involved in the independent theater movement since the early 1970s and has played a major role in the reaffirmation of the Catalan language in the Valencia region. Manuel Molins is a prolific author, with more than 80 works of great formal diversity and a wide range of themes and objectives. His complete works were published by the Institució Alfons el Magnànim in 2022.
