Jean Duboys (Jean-Charles Du Boys)

A very prolific playwright, Jean Duboys (or Jean du Boys) collaborated many times with other artists, most notably Amédée Rolland, for Le Mariage de Vadé (1862), and Lemercier de Neuville, for Le Bout de l’an de la noce. He also wrote La Comtesse de Monte-Cristo (1867), a pastiche of Alexandre Dumas’ novel.
He actively took part in the operation of the Erôtikon Theatron during the two years of its existence.
