Note

This mascarade was sung and danced for king Louis XIV, at the Château de Marly. According to a play review published in Le Mercure galant (February 1700, p.158-160), some of the curiosités were represented by trunks. Children would come out of them and play the puppets.

Plot summary

Eulogy to the Royal Court

Galanty, an old Savoyard, arrives at the Court with his family and his troupe. They join Arlequin, Polichinelle, Zerbinette and Marinette in singing the praises of the Court, and they show the content of their curiosités.
