This play was written by Puri Fariza and Pol Paúl, who drew inspiration from several chapters of Cervantes’s Don Quixote. It was performed by Tramant Teatre – a company from Valencia – and was awarded the International Baroque for Children prize at the International Almagro Festival (Spain) in 2020.
Plot summary
A play on mental health and the passion for reading
Pasqual, a schoolteacher from the village, teaches the cleaning lady Aldonza how to read. They read from Don Quixote and play out several chapters using everyday objects they find around them.
