Gyula Molnár, an actor, writer and director of Hungarian origin, lives in Italy and works and collaborates throughout Europe. He teaches at the the faculty of figure theater at the Ernst Busch School of Dramatic Art in Berlin. For years, he has led research workshops on a particular type of stage writing that uses creative improvisation between actor and object. Together with Gigio Brunello, he has directed shows that have revitalized the language of glove puppetry in northern Italy.
