Note

This play was written with an educational purpose for the Valencian publisher Eliseu Climent. It aims to encourage children to practice puppet theatre in schools. It was published, along with five other plays, at a time when the teaching of the Catalan language was beginning to be integrated into the schools of the Valencian Region, after the long Franco dictatorship.

Plot summary

A young joker is punished

One day, little Agustí decides to grow a tree and plants a seed. But another child, Fidel, swaps the seed with another and the resulting tree produces a very special fruit: it contains the genie Eugeni, who punishes Fidel by beating him with a stick. Fidel asks for forgiveness and the genie throws confetti and sweets to the audience.
